Common questions
Where are my notes?
In the folder shown in Settings › Notes folder. On iPhone, the app's own folder is in the Files app under On My iPhone › VB Notes › VBNotes. Every note is a .md file there. See Your notes folder.
How do I get my notes on my computer?
Move your notes folder to iCloud Drive in Settings › Notes folder, then open the same folder in the desktop app.
Why can't I pick a Google Drive or Dropbox folder?
On iPhone, those apps don't let other apps pick their folders. Use iCloud Drive, or the folder on your phone.
Search by meaning says it is downloading.
The search model is downloaded once. Keep VB Notes open until it finishes; if you leave, it carries on when you come back. Exact-word search works meanwhile.
Is VB Notes free?
Yes. No in-app purchases, no account, no ads.
Downloads
VB Notes for iPhone is on the App Store. Every desktop build, and an early Android build, is on the releases page; Android is coming soon to Google Play.
